How it works

Layer v1 does not describe a picture; it takes it apart. Given one flat raster it returns a structured document — an ordered stack of layers, each with its own box in the page's coordinate space, each carrying the kind of thing it is: the reconstructed background plate, the visual assets that were sitting on it, and the text, recovered as text rather than traced as shapes.

The hard part is not detection, it is reconstruction. Reading where a headline sits is comparatively easy; producing the background that was behind it — the gradient, the photograph, the paper grain that the type was covering — is the work. Every asset comes back separated from what it occluded, which is what makes the stack editable rather than merely annotated.

Text is treated as typography, not as a string. A recovered text layer carries its paragraphs and its runs, its alignment, indent and line spacing, and where the original face can be identified it is matched and the font file embedded alongside. Rotation and flips are preserved. That is the difference between a layer you can restyle and a caption you have to retype.

Capabilities

  • Reconstructs a clean background behind the subject
  • Separates visual elements into individually positioned assets
  • Recovers text as native, selectable text objects
  • Matches and embeds the original font when one is available
  • Preserves the original beside the editable result
  • Runs as a durable background job and returns a reference PPTX

price1 credit per pageReserved at the start; settled at 0 if the run fails.

Bounds the runtime enforces today. A source that exceeds one is refused up front with the reason, rather than truncated into a partial result.

How to use it

  1. Open Aixio Studio and drop in a finished image.
  2. Choose Edit Layers. The job runs in the background and survives a refresh.
  3. Keep working on the returned stack: rewrite copy, move objects, restyle type, or download the reference PPTX.
